February in Tasmania

Seriously I have about three followers but still get complaints that I haven’t posted a blog for a while. Too funny, anyway I have been very busy. Touring this great state.

Most of the time I’m revisiting places I loved from two years ago. But also finding some new gems

Beaches are my happy place

The view from the Nutt at Stanley

Then down the west coast to the end of the world

Following a dirt road down the west coast, my step took offence to the dust and stopped working…again.

Then I managed to write it off on the barge. $35 to cross the river and the guy who I told about the step directs me straight into the guard. Idiot. For that price I should have been able to stay the night on the barge.

Smiling before I realised how wrecked my step was

Zeehan, arrived here and stayed at the golf club and was going to do the heritage centre the next day. Closed on Fridays. So headed off again chasing waterfalls. This time horse tail falls, in the rain, this should be good, nope. Not having much luck

Great path with awesome views, that’s the road I just came up
This is the falls!!

Next stop was on a lake, so peaceful, stayed until I ran out of food

Did a bit of eco printing here, taking advantage of having plenty of water

Headed east until I found a Woolies to restock and decided I needed more ocean time. Off to Triabunna. Last time here I did a great boat trip around Maria island. This time I decided to take my bike over on the Ferry and see it from a different angle. Need a bigger bike. Just joking, won’t fit in Harry. Rode to Fossil cliffs, then onto the painted cliffs. Where the tide was too high to get a good view.

Fossil rock
Just had to keep stopping to appreciate the views
Painted rocks
Took way to many photos of these guys
Must have spent an hour sitting and watching

Caught up with a friend at the camp grounds so off to the pub for dinner. A treat not to have to cook, also availed myself to the fish and chip tram a couple of nights, so did lots of walks to make up for that. Have to head down to Hobart to pick up some medical supplies. Stopped at Sorell and spent the day removing the step, got sick of trying to manoeuvre around it. Did some more eco dying and went for a bike ride. Loving my time down here, but cold and wet today so catching up with inside jobs.
